Q: How are display capacities determined?

A: Displays are rated based on an a spacing that is full but not too crowded for average sized medals. For example it is possible to fit 6 medals on a bar that is rated for 5, especially if the medals are somewhat small. The guidelines are given to make selecting displays easier, but know squeezing on more is possible.

Q: I have an idea for a display not currently offered, do you do custom work?

A: Some customizations are possible. Please reach out with your idea and we’d be happy to take a look and let you know.

Q: The largest display available is 25 but I have more than that. Why aren’t there larger displays available?

A: The main reason for not having larger displays is that it can be difficult to make them look good. Too many medals on one giant display can be visually overwhelming. For larger collections it’s better to consider using multiple smaller displays. A secondary reason is it helps keep shipping costs and damage low.

A: It started with the Finnish word for achievement, which is Saavutus. After some tinkering to reduce syllables etc., Zavus was conceived. It turned out that Zavus is an existing Lithuanian word meaning beautiful/ravishing. This dual meaning of an achievement and beauty seemed like a great fit.
